The new feature uses automatic speech recognition to accurately transcribe medical terminologies such as procedures, conditions, diseases, and even medicine names. In addition to medical transcription the following automated extractions are also available:
- Entity Detection – Returns info such as medications used, conditions noted, tests, treatments, and procedures, anatomy, and Protected Health Information (PHI).
- ICD-10-CM coding – Finds diagnoses and provides ICD-10-CM code. For example, if headaches are mentioned, then we will return "R51" as a found code.
- RXNorm coding – Finds text with medications and provides their RXNorm codes. For example, if Acetaminophen is mentioned, then we will return “C2341132” as a found code.
- SNOMED CT coding – Finds text with medications or diagnoses and provides their SNOMED-CT codes. For example, if the lumbosacral spine is mentioned, then we will return "181752003" as a found code.
